Central America - From Nicaragua to Costa Rica

Passing Lake Nicaragua with it's beautiful views of Concepción Volcano on an island and the wind turbines,I had to stop at a gas station to wait out the first rainfall I've encountered since Oregon. Other locals on their motorcycles joined me for the half hour until the rain let up.

Heading towards Punta Arenas, Costa Rica, I decided to stop for the night about sixty miles north of my destination. The rain was only 300 yards away and heading my way, I turned around and returned to a little motel I'd seen a mile or so back and was able to check in before the rain came.
