Ride to Chile

From Oregon to Chile, a motorcycle adventure by Rick Ellis

Ecuador - Day 2

November 11, 2016

Leaving Quito at 9350 feet elevation, I rode over an 11,574 pass on my way to Baños at 5955 ft., named for it's hot springs. There I met missionary Joil Marbut and a team from one of our supporting churches in Albany, Oregon for lunch. So amazing how God orchestrates my calendar.

After lunch I continued to Sucua at 3116 ft., where I joined Joil's wife, Leah, and family, as well as her brother Seth McDonald and wife, Kaitlin. Leah and Seth were missionary kids when Laurel and I served in Ecuador. Now they are missionaries themselves, doing an amazing work in the Amazon region of Ecuador. http://junglemissionary.com/
