Peru - Days 1 and 2

Coming down from the lush green of the northern Andean mountains, I arrived in Piura, Peru to begin my trek through the deserts of Peru and northern Chile. Admittedly, this was the portion of the trip I wasn't looking forward to.

Although the coast of Peru is desert, the Andes receive rainfall and snow, so every so often a river cuts through and allows for towns and crops.

I found the "mototaxis" and motorcycle trucks fascinating.
